Hi I'm April

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Idaho. My husband serves in the Air Force and I take care of our four beautiful children.

About Me

I grew up in a family with 7 other kids. My parents worked hard and tried to teach us to. I met my husband at college. We now have four children and hope to have more. My husband is a pilot in the Air Force so we move often and enjoy seeing new places and making new friends. I homeschool my children. Lately I enjoy learning about gardening and sewing. My hobbies and interests change often as opportunity comes along and my family grows.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I'm grateful for the direction I have received from following the standards of the church. I know that I am a child of God and that He cares about me and will direct me in my life. I know that He hears and answers my prayers. I know that Jesus Christ paid for my sins and that He was resurrected. I know that I lived in heaven and that the atonement allows me to return there again if I repent and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I'm grateful for that knowledge. I'm grateful for that direction in my life and the help it gives me in raising children of my own.

How I live my faith

I have served in several different ways at church. Right now I serve the children ages 18 months to 3 years. I play with them and teach them so their parents can serve in other ways or attend classes. I enjoy being with young children and seeing what the Savior taught us about them; that we must be patient, meek, humble, as a little child to enter the kingdom of heaven. I see those things each week and learn from them how to be a better person. I also have the opportunity to visit three other women each month. I have received as much service as I have given to these women who have all become dear friends. We talk about the teachings of the church. We give each other ideas when we are struggling with anything. We lift and comfort each other.
