Hi I'm Mark

I grew up in California, live in Florida, I'm a father, retired restaurant franchisee, a cyclist, love to travel and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired KFC/TacoBell franchisee of almost 30 years. Began in California now living in Florida. Baptized over 26 years ago in Colorado. I've been married since 1979 and we have two sons and a daughter. My two sons have served 2 year missions for the church when they turned 19 years old, one in Barcelona, Spain and the other in Puebla , Mexico. My oldest graduated from BYU and is married and is now a diplomat working for the state department. Our second son is married and graduated from BYU and is studying at Edinburgh University in Scotland for his graduate work in hospital administration. Our youngest a daughter served her mission in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and currently lives in Texas with her husband . I grew up Catholic as a youth and found the Mormon Church as an adult. Now work a day a week with Delta Airlines which allows me and my family to fly all over the world with Delta for free. We enjoy choosing a unique destination and just packing up and leaving the country or somewhere domestic. Finding the restored gospel as an adult of 31 years old, I was amazed that Prophets still served God on the earth today. My life has been blessed as a result of our family's involvement with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My wife and I now serve as Church Service Missionaries here in Florida. I never would have ever anticipated posting such a profile on any Church's website, but the Lord has blessed our family so much I couldn't deny sharing it.

Why I am a Mormon

Finding the restored gospel after 31 years of my life without it, I had a good point of view from a mature non-members perspective. The truths taught through the missionary discussions seemed amazing to me as the Holy Ghost confirmed the truthfulness of what I was being taught. The plan of salvation allows me to answer the three questions that many in the world wonder about but have no answer for. 1. Where I came from. 2. Why I am here. 3. Where I have the opportunity to go after death.

How I live my faith

We are encouraged to serve others and find many opportunities as a member of the Church. Some would consider it a sacrifice to serve however I just see it as prioritizing my available time and actually enjoy serving. All members are given an opportunity to accept callings which allow us to grow as we serve, thus bettering yourself and those you serve.
