Hi I'm Carol Johnston

I'm a full time Mum to 4 boys. I LOVE to dance. I love all things creative. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a full time Mum to 4 beautiful boys. I have a passion for dance, anything creative and nutrition. I have loved to dance for as long as I can remember (always dancing in my grandmothers living room to Solid Gold in the early 80's :), and now run my kids Hip Hop and Breakdance school. I love to be able to help others find their passion for dance too and see them grow from that in so many different ways. I enjoy a bit of graphic design - helping others promote their businesses and dabble in interior decorating and design. I love to understand how the body works and to keep it in tip top condition through great nutrition.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Latter Day Saint. My parents both joined the church at different stages of their lives, my Mum as teenager and my Dad well into his adult years. I really took our church for granted until my later teenage years, when I begun to ask the questions most of us do about the bigger questions we all have... where did we come from, and especially why am I here and where do we go after this life. I also had a friend that really challenged many of my beliefs during this period of my life, that really was great for me, giving me great motivation to understand more about what we believed and find out for myself whether it were really true. I spent many hours pondering over the scriptures and therein found all the answers to my questions and discovered that God really does hear and answer our prayers. Like a puzzle fitting together perfectly. It made sense and it felt right - in my heart and my mind. One of the things I love most about what we believe is that our families can be eternal. I ask myself, why would a kind and loving Father, who created us and gave us the most wonderful gift of our families - especially our children, then not give us the opportunity to continue those most tender relationships into the next life. All that I have learnt in our church over my lifetime gives me great hope and optimism, both for now, the future and the next life. A very pleasant difference in a world that is struggling on so many different fronts. I believe all the beauty, the amazing intricacies and perfection to each and every element of this world, is a testament that there was a ‘Creator’ and a purpose to our existence. Now as the years have rolled on and I am a wife and mother, I am so grateful for the principal we are encouraged to follow - of honesty, integrity, fidelity, kindness and compassion, and feel my life is incredibly blessed for such.

How I live my faith

I believe I can best live my faith through kindness. At the end of the day that's what it is all about. I believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be the most practical thing in this world for finding peace, happiness and success in any and every area of our lives. I believe that most people who find true success in this life do so by following such principals, whether they realise they are or not. I believe we have a Father in Heaven that loves us all and wishes only for our happiness and success and has given us a road map to find that.
