Hi I'm Jordan

I was born and raised in southern Arizona. I'm a college student studying biomedical engineering. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student in my mid-20's studying bio-medical engineering. I have 7 brothers and sisters and the best parents a guy could ask for! When I'm not studying my brains out for an exam, I'm either mountain biking or goofing around with my friends. I'm a big reader, and have most recently added the works of Charles Dickens to my collection. My family loves to go camping in the beautiful White Mountains as often as possible. We all love fishing, and sometimes get to enjoy catching too! I enjoy being around happy people and feeling accomplished. In ten years, my goal is to be a professional bio-medical engineer, have married a good girl, and hopefully have a few cute kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon faith. I remember loving the church activities and all the friends I had at church as a young boy. I remember how safe and good I felt at home with my family growing up. When it came time to decide whether or not I would serve a two year mission for the Church, I honestly had to consider where I stood. I searched the Bible and Book of Mormon for inspiration, I spoke with different family members about why they believed this church was the right one. I knew good things came from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, like how it helped my father overcome the addictions of his youth and become a good man. I prayed many, many times to know if this church and its teachings( especially the Book of Mormon) were correct and true. My answer came very slowly, over a period of months. I found myself crying "happy" tears while reading particularly touching verses of scripture in the Book of Mormon. Finally, I can remember discussing Joseph Smith with some friends, when I felt compelled to testify that he was a true prophet of God. This was discomforting, as I was still a little unsure about it. Yet when I testified that I knew that Joseph was a true prophet of God, i immediately felt an incredible peace and joy come over me. At that moment I knew absolutely that what I had just said was true. My testimony of Jesus Christ as the Savior of all mankind was something I felt deeply for many years, even as a child. Yet when I found that I finally knew that "mormonism" was true, my testimony of and love for Jesus grew so much more! I now knew that I was important enough to God that he would reveal to me those things that I needed to be happy, if I would just ask sincerely.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing. I try to help as many people as I can. I try to pray and read the holy scriptures each and every day. Every Sunday
