Hi I'm Trevor Pierce

I am currently serving an LDS mission in Guatemala, play saxophone, am a college student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student studying mathematics and business. I play the saxophone. I love to read, write poetry, and learn new things about everything around me. I am very personable and not afraid to talk to anyone. However, currently I am serving a mission for the Church in Guatemala to help bring those not of this faith to Christ and his love.

Why I am a Mormon

Yes, I've grown up in the church and was baptized at the age of 8, but I truly know that this is the true church on the earth today. I know this because I have read the Book of Mormon and have prayed about it and received a witness directly from God through the Holy Ghost of its truth and divinity. I love the church and it has bettered every aspect of my life. When I was 12 years old, President Gordon B. Hinckley, then Prophet and President of the church, challenged all to read the Book of Mormon. I took the challenge of President Hinckley and when I finished the Book of Mormon I took the challenge found in Moroni 10:3-5 and knelt down to pray to my Father whether it and the church were true. At that time I could not remember feeling the Spirit of God come over me as powerfully and wonderfully, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that the Church is true and that the Book of Mormon is as well. Our Heavenly Father wants to answer any and all of your questions, I now challenge you: get a copy of the Book of Mormon, read it, pray about it, and come to know your Father just as I have, it will change your life forever. Now at this time as I leave to serve a mission, I add my testimony of the atonement of Christ, he died for all who have, are, and will inhabit this earth, through him we all can be saved. His church is here, it's on the earth and through the blessings of the priesthood and temple, we can return to our Father and become like him.

How I live my faith

I try to surround myself with things that uplift. I have taught Sunday school in my student college ward and also been a home teacher and serve as many as I can around me. My parents have always taught that service is how we spread Christ's love and I do it through many different activities from manual labor to tutoring a friend. I constantly look for ways to help other and to improve myself in this world.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Trevor Pierce
We are not afraid to have a little fun, I know that one of my personal greatest joys in life is to laugh and be happy. We live in a world where we now have the good news of the gospel which makes me and others I associate with happy. I have always tried my best to keep my life clean as well, by not participating in vulgar or inappropriate behavior and always listening to the advice of leaders and commandments of scripture, we are able to have a blessed and spiritual life while still having fun. Some may say that us Latter-Day Saints have too many rules and regulations to have fun, but I know that as I have grown up in this church that I have always had not only good health but great relationships with friends and family that have allowed me to enjoy life. I am grateful that I can approach a situation with a smile on my face knowing that through Christ, we all can gain Eternal Life which is the greatest joy of all. We live our lives as close to that of Christ as we can, however, we're not all perfect. Arguments and minor sin happen but as we try our hardest and constantly work towards being like our Savior, we have a blessed and great life free from sin and temptations that would only make us weaker.
