Hi I'm Felicity

I came to Australia when I was three. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of six children and have five wonderful grandchildren. I teach tudents in a Special Education Program in a local high school and teach 18 month - three year olds at church each Sunday. I love to spend time with my family and enjoy the beach, camping and reading. My family and I love playing games together and we get a bit noisy when we are all together at the same time.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ when I was sixteen years old. I had been going to church with my mother from when I was four years old but my father would not give permission for me to be baptised. He told me that I should wait until I was 18 to make such an important decision. One day when I was sixteen my dad said that I was always a help to my mother and that if I wanted to be baptised that I could do so now. My baptism was over 33 years ago but I remember it most vividly. I knew that what I was doing was what my Father in Heaven wanted me to do. I felt a stong feeling of warmth within me and recognise this as the Holy Ghost confirming that I had done the right thing. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives direction, purpose and meaning to my life. I try to make decisions they way that I feel my Savior Jesus Christ would have chosen. My family are the most important thing in my life and I know that through following the teachings of the church my family can be together for eternity.

How I live my faith

As a member of the church I visit other ladies that attend church with me. I love them and do things with them and for them. I also teach the young children in nursery each Sunday. We have simple lessons about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We learn about their love for us by providing such things as a family, a Savior and the world. We also learn about important qualities such as loving our family and being kind to others.
