Hi I'm Kris

I was born in california, but now live in Arizona. I like to write stories, study marine animals, and play games. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First off, I would like to say that my main hobby would either be writing or playing games with friends. I also have a few minor hobbies. I just started getting into writing books as I have just started my first one. My inspiration came through me and my cousin’s imagination in our childhood (we came up with so many games and especially one in particular helped in the making of my first book). Video and Computer games is also another hobby I enjoy. Without friends the feeling quickly subsides. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is my favorite game right now, and my best friend and I are trying to attend tournaments. As some may guess, reading has also come up, awaken from my enjoyment with writing literature. I am a high school student that is planning on graduating then studying to become a Marine Biologist.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it is the only true church. I have found it through constant prayer, studying of the Bible and Book of Mormon, and trials I faced. The first things that anyone can notice about Mormons and the church are that they are non-threatening, good people with amazing traits, and their concepts and beliefs make sense. I have found also that they are blatantly cleaner and healthier in their own ways. I wanted to live my life like them because it seemed like a great deal. At first glance I thought the work would be too difficult, like so many sacrifices would be made. The very sense of fun would dissipate. Of course though, I was wrong. The service I have contributed to the church has not only brought benefits to others and I, my joy have increased significantly. I know that if anyone can just give a little time of this, you will know of the same joy that comes to me.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith is that I go to church every Sunday. At church I worship God and his son, the redeeming savior. Although my bishop has given me direct callings, I still help in any way I can, especially with my youth friends. I am currently getting prepared to go on a mission to serve the lord for two years. Some like to say a mission sacrifices those two years. I like to see it as a two year gain. My dad and I are partners in home teaching. I’m glad I have this opportunity; it helps me to prepare for my mission and teaches me charity. I have become an eagle scout through much diligence. I also make sure I attend mutual, a program where all the youth 12-18 meet during the week for activities and learning more of the gospel. Mutual is not only fun for Mormons, but also for non-Mormons. I also love to give service to my fellow beings.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Kris
Proxy baptisms are done for those have passed on and were not able to recieve the saving ordinances. This does not force those who died to accept it. Some might not have accepted it. Show more Show less
