Hi I'm Dan

You guessed it, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Northern California, and lived in Chile for two years as a missionary. I'm a Mechanical Engineer, and I did my graduate work investigating how robotics can be used to help children with autism. I love the scriptures and spent some time living in the Holy Land studying the life and teachings of Christ and his prophets as taught in the Holy Bible.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was born in a family of Mormons, I came to know that it is true for myself. I've read the Bible and felt the Holy Spirit confirm that Jesus is the Christ and that he died for me. I've also read and studied the Book of Mormon, and the Holy Spirit confirmed that it is a true book as well: it testifies of Christ, gives me direction, and helps me through hard times. God answered my prayers when I asked Him if the church was true. The answer didn't come right away. Only when I really decided that I was going to do whatever God wanted me to do, did I get an answer to my prayer that Yes, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. The restored gospel truly is the same gospel that Jesus taught when he walked the Earth, and that's why I'm a Mormon. It's not just a good church that makes me feel good -- it's true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like Christ. The way I see it, if I always try to be in the places God wants me to be at, and doing the things I'm supposed to do, everything in life will work out.
