Hi I'm Adam

I'm a choral education student at ASU. I love traveling, hiking, and singing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I play piano, cello, guitar, mandolin, and ukulele. I love learning new music because I love all types of music. Everything from Bluegrass to Indian Carnatic music. But I especially love singing and choral music. That's why I'm currently studying choral education at Arizona State University. I can't imagine doing anything else with my life. I also love hiking and camping with my family. I find peace when I'm surrounded by nature with my loved ones. I also collect PEZ dispensers. My collection right now is up to about 41 dispensers. I especially love Star Wars dispensers. I love my family more than anything in the world. They mean everything to me. They're my best friends and they support me in everything I do. I would not be who I am today if it weren't for my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church and I'm eternally grateful for it. I have discovered for myself what the gospel of Jesus Christ means to me. Because of Jesus Christ, I can be forgiven of my sins and return to Him and to my Heavenly Father. I also know that His church has been restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith and that we still have a prophet today, Thomas S. Monson. I know that because the fullness of His gospel has been restored as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I can be sealed to my family for eternity and we can live together forever if we keep His commandments. I cannot adequately express my gratitude for the Lord's standards for the youth. Because He has revealed these standards to us and because I've done my best to follow them, I have been extremely blessed. I know my Father in Heaven and His son Jesus Christ live. I know They love every one of us and They want us to return to live with Them forever. I know that in order to return to Them, we must obey the commandments They have given to us through the scriptures and through modern day prophets.

How I live my faith

Right now, I'm currently serving a full-time, 2 year mission in Frankfurt, Germany. I've chosen to serve a mission becuase I love the Lord and I love this Gospel. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has given me so much joy in my life. I want to share this joy with others and invite them to live the gospel of Christ so they can enjoy the blessings and happiness that come with it. I know that this is what Christ would do if He wer on the Earth today. Because I want to follow Him, I've chosen to serve a mission. Serving a mission does not guarantee that I'm a disciple of Christ, however. So I try and live the gospel every day and I know that I must try and live it for the rest of my life. I love the simplicity of Christ's invitation, "follow me". I hope that I can grow closer to Him everyday. I'm not perfect, and neither is anyone else. But I know that if we sincerely do our best to be disciples of Christ, He will guide us along the way.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

I have been asked this question many times. Some people are confused and think we're trying to replace Jesus Christ with Joseph Smith. We do not worship him. I have an immense amount of respect for Joseph Smith. I know he was a prophet of God and he translated an ancient record referred to as the "Golden Plates" into what we know as the Book of Mormon. Joseph Smith played a crucial role in restoring Jesus Christ's church and he was martyred for our beliefs. But the fact remains that we worship God the Father and His son Jesus Christ and we do not worship Joseph Smith. Show more Show less
