Hi I'm Nicole

I'm a mother of two children, a wife, a full time marketing coordinator, a lover of sweets. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a pretty simple person. I enjoy spending time in the woods and going camping. I like to bake goodies to share with others. I have no interest in sewing. I have learned that I need to leave sewing to the experts. I have a busy family life which includes full time work, volunteering at my children's school, helping my husband manage his business part time and running my kids to and from activities. I have an Elementary Education degree; however, I am currently a marketing director for an animal hospital. I am grateful to live close to most of my siblings and my mother. Family get togethers usually means a mininum of 25 people under one roof. It's noisy and messy, but I love it! My family really is the most important thing to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since I was born. The choice to be LDS (also known as Mormon) is mine. It has not always been an obvious decision. I have vague memories of my father attending the church services with our family and proclaiming his faith about the Mormon church when I was a young child. My parents divorced when I was twelve. Dad stopped going and even stated his disbelief of the Mormon religion. Mom has never wavered...even in the darkest hours. As a teenager, I was raised two different ways. One way in the LDS church and the other with no religion. My mother kept her 6 children attending church when we were in her care. However, each one of her children have had to travel down the path to decide if it was true. Afterall...agency is the gift that God has given us all. I can't say that my testimony has never been tested. I have had moments of weakness and doubt. I know, through my own personal experience, that when I attend church and follow the teachings of Christ in the scriptures and obey the church leaders advice I am happy, hopeful and at peace with myself.

How I live my faith

I serve as a visiting teacher to other women in our church. I visit 2-3 women in their home on a monthly basis. Sometimes we share stories, sometimes we read scriptures and other times we just enjoy eachother's company. I also get the pleasure of teaching (gospel related) lessons to children who are 5-6 years old each Sunday. There are about 6 children in my class. In addition to teaching children, I also help out with my 9 year old son's cub scout program in our church. I assist by attending scout meetings and day camps, providing snacks and helping when needed. I also volunteer my time at church events like: holiday parties, dinner for the women of our church and other community service projects.
