Hi I'm Bethany Warden

I love learning about everything, especially people! I'm really weird, ask any of my friends. XD I love art and trying new things.

About Me

My family rocks! I have older parents, and a wacko older sister, Bonnie, who has always been there for me. I've got a best friend, Trinh Nguyen, who will be my best friend for the rest of my life. She's the bomb. ;) I'm learning piano and violin late in life, but I love music. I paint and draw and sculpt. I was attending BYU-Idaho and majoring in physics, but I put that on hold to serve an LDS Mission for God's church. I like asking questions about everything and like making connections between earth's discoveries and the gospel of Jesus Christ. I also LOVE video games, like Mario, Legend of Zelda, and others. I'm also currently serving an LDS mission in South Carolina for 18 months. I'm 9 months in, and I know more than ever that this gospel of Jesus Christ will save the world, and is made for our human family.

Why I am a Mormon

I know it's true, timeless, and unchanging. I know that this is how I can be the closest to God, my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. I won't drink or smoke. I look forward to having a happy family after getting married someday. I love other peeople, and pray for those who aren't the nicest. ;) I enjoy being a friend to everyone and being myself around others. Every drawing, painting, song, or book read I relate to my faith in God and Jesus Christ. I love experimenting and exploring the world! It's a cool place of diversity that God has created and people have formed. When I study aspects of my faith, I enjoy connecting what I learn to the many discoveries and knowledge of human beings. This has strengthened my testimony of God greatly.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Bethany Warden
Many other Christian churches exist, but there is only one that Jesus Christ authorizes to act in His name: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We have the power of God to baptize and officiate in all of the other ordinances Jesus Christ Himself taught of during His earthly ministry. The doctrines taught in the LDS church are the only way to heaven because we have the authority of God to use His power to build up His kingdom the way He wants it. No other church has that power, only The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This power was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. If all of the Christian churches had the authority from God to act in His name, we would all be teaching the same things and would be united into one church. The original authority that Jesus Christ blessed Peter, James, and John with was lost to the earth when the twelve apostles were killed. Yes, John is still alive, but if the true church of God had remained on the earth then there would have been a reestablishment of the twelve apostles on the earth after the martyrdom of the apostles. So the power to act in Gods name was lost. Joseph Smith was anxious to know which church to join, so he prayed to God the Father and asked. During his prayer, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph and said join none of them. Jesus Christ then commenced to restore His true church on the earth by giving the church the authority to invoke the power of God for salvation of the earth! Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Bethany Warden
Oh yeah! I know that Thomas S. Monson is God's prophet alive today. He may not part the Red Sea like Moses, but if God needed him to, he could. President Monson teaches us the will of God and His commandments. I know Thomas S. Monson is a modern day prophet because I asked God about it. It was super cool when I knew, because I wasn't too sure I could trust Thomas S. Monson at first. I now know that Thomas S. Monson is God's living prophet on the earth today, and that God is pleased with him and the good he does for the human family. I know that God would have all of the world to listen to this prophet.
