Hi I'm Jake

I'm a husband and father of three. I'm a welder and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of three children. One boy, two girls. They are the love of my life. I have been married 8 years to the most wonderful girl. I have 4 brothers and 4 sisters. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ my whole life. I love art. I am a welder and love to make artistic welded pieces. I am a foreman of an ornamental iron shop. I also sell hand made belt buckles online. I love off-road activities. Mostly 4x4 trucks, and my mountain bike. I spend most of my time with my children and my wife. I love my family. My brothers are my best friends and I cant wait to see my brothers and sisters at family gatherings. I also enjoy just hanging out with friends, playing cards, watching movies or just fun conversation.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. For me, as a youngster, it was the logical choice. As I matured I realized I needed to know for myself the truthfulness of the Gospel. My prayers have been answered. I cannot deny that God lives and this church, The Church of Jesus Christ, is His church on the earth today. It makes sense to me. I cannot imagine not knowing if I would see my family again after this life. I love my wife with all my heart. I am sealed to her forever... I cant have that with any other faith. Family is by far the most convincing witness to me that this gospel is true. I know that my children will always be mine. That knowledge gives me the patience and understanding to teach them and want to raise them to know Christ. It gives me purpose in this life. I try harder with the relationship with my wife, and I have the desire to be the best husband and father I know how. Having a wife and children that count on me for temporal needs as well as spiritual gives me a fullness that is hard to describe. I will never deny what I know to be true. I know this church is Gods church and I know that Christ lives.

How I live my faith

In the church I teach a Sunday school class for youth ages 13-14. I enjoy the study for the lesson as much as teaching it. I help those who are moving in or out of the ward. I attend the Temple as often as I can. I love participating in the yearly ward socials held at the local park where we have a chili cook-off and costume party.
