Hi I'm Brett

I grew up in Arizona, I love the outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family, a lot, even though they drive me crazy sometimes. I have both my mom and dad, an older sister named Rebecca, and two younger brothers named Justin and Trevor. I enjoy spending time outside hiking, camping or fishing. When I am not doing these activities I am either reading a book or playing sports with friends. My life goals have changed a lot as I have matured over the years, but currently I want to have a big ol' happy family with lots of kids and a career that allows me to help the lives of others. I love my life and wouldn't trade it for anything in this world.

Why I am a Mormon

In high school, it wasn't always easy to be a member of the LDS church. We were often teased or joked about because of the beliefs or ''rules'' that the church has. I decided that I didn't want to be apart of a church that wasn't true, so I committed myself to finding out if it was fact or fiction. I read regularly in the Bible and in the Book of Mormon and asked God in prayer to let me know if this was legit. After about three months of this, I received an answer through the Holy Spirit that this church was indeed true and that God needed me here. Its not easy to be a member of a church that is ridiculed for our beliefs, but knowing that it is true makes all the difference. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the same church that our Savior established when he was here on the earth. I know that it is here for me, and you, and for everyone to be apart of. I am a Mormon because it has blessed my life in countless ways, it is a family of people striving to become better, and it is where God wants all of His children to be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through diligent scripture study so that I can learn how I can become better, and by communicating regularly with God through prayer to express gratitude and to ask for help. I firmly believe that study and application is the way to spiritual maturity, and that is something that I greatly desire. Jesus Christ lived a life of selfless service and I want to live my life just like that.
