Hi I'm Rebecca

I'm a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now, I'm a stay-at-home mother of two sweet girls. I've got a part-time job working from home as an editor. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and baking and trying new recipes, reading, and attending yoga classes. In a previous life, I worked for a state government agency. I love to travel and can't wait for my children to be older so that I can share those experiences with them.

Why I am a Mormon

The teachings of this church bring peace and happiness to my life, in a world that very often does not make much sense. I often think of the words of the apostle Peter. When the Savior asks if his disciples will also leave Him, Peter answers, "Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God." There's no other source of truth and wisdom that can transform all aspects of my life like living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a better person (not perfect!) because I've tried to pattern my life after the teachings of the gospel. I have a hope that there can be true joy now and forever as I live my life in a way that is consistent with what I know to be true.

How I live my faith

My current responsibilities at church focus on working with the teenage girls in our congregation. I've also been a children's Sunday school teacher. At home, my faith helps me become a better mother and wife. As I remember the example of Jesus Christ, I am reminded to treat my family with more kindness, gentleness, patience, and forgiveness.
