Hi I'm Lauren

I'm a daughter. I'm a sister. I'm a student. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a big sister and I love my family. I am a freshman at BYU Provo, so being away from my younger brothers and not being able to watch them grow up has been a hard thing to adjust to. I am beginning my studies for a major in severe disability education, which has been a passion of mine since elementary school.I am grateful every day for the wonderful school and beautiful campus that I have the privilege of attending. Being a big sister, I am very protective of my 3 younger brothers (17, 14, 11). And although we are not as close as I wish we could be, I do my best to show them that I love and appreciate them every day. I am currently preparing to serve a mission, starting this summer, to share the peace and joy that the gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true. I know that the true gospel of Jesus Christ is available to us on this earth, and it is in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know this because i have prayed to know it and also because I can feel the spirit strongly testifying it to me as I write this. I know that this church is true. There is no other way to say it. I love this gospel, I love my Savior, I love The Book of Mormon, and I love the blessings that come from being a member of this beautiful church. I will be serving a mission in a few months because I know that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ and because I know the blessings of peace and happiness that can come from knowing the truth. The majority of my extended family are not members of this church and I can see the differences in their lives, where there are empty places or unanswered questions that this gospel can fill and answer. This is a beautiful gospel not only because of the truthfulness of it, but also because of the principles and doctrine that answer so many of those deep questions. There is so much peace in knowing who I am, why I am here on this earth, and where I am going after this life. I love this gospel and I know that it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being true to my knowledge of being a child of God. I am so grateful for the knowledge that I have that I am a child of God and I do my best to try and treat everyone around me in a way that shows them that they are a child of God as well. I also live my faith by being an example to my friends and other people around me who are not members of this gospel. While I do not anticipate my example having a large impact on anyone around me, I do know that my attitude toward someone could make a difference in their day - so why not make it a positive one?
