Hi I'm Debbie

I'm a mom, and a gramma, help run our family business, and I'm proud to be a mormon.

About Me

There are so many fun things to do! I'm an active part of our family insurance agency business, plus our three married children live close with the 8 cutest grandkids in the world, two of which are newborn twin girls-- and we still have two children in college. I love to volunteer every week at the family history center learning and discovering and helping others get interested in their family trees and histories. I love to cook and decorate our home, and organize and sew and create! Currently I have the funnest time teaching a little nursery class of six 18-month olds on Sundays.

Why I am a Mormon

I seriously can't believe how lucky I am to have found the gospel, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. There are many paths a person can take in life. Sometimes you're lost, and you don't even realize it. Sometimes you realize it, but don't know where to turn. My husband and I joined the church when we were in our 20's, after our second child was born. When we were approached about the gospel, it just made sense. To learn that God is literally our father in heaven, that he has a plan for us, and he wants us to be happy and to return to him one day. I know what the commandments are and how to live them. This knowlege has given us direction in raising our children, in living a better wholesome lifestyle, and a protection from many bad things that plague our world today.

How I live my faith

I guess you would call this "living my faith" in that every decision I make, everything I do I do with a knowledge of a loving heavenly father--He isn't just a Sunday thing to think about. I try to pattern my life after my savior, Jesus Christ, I try to be honest in all my dealings, from grocery store coupons to relationships with my family and friends. I am cautious about the movies that I watch, about the music I listen to, about the way I speak about others. I try to be kind and to be helpful to other people, whether it be just a friendly smile or hello, or be available when someone is in need. I want to be worthy of being a daughter of God, and to be the best person that I can be.
