Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in Southern California. I love designing clothes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a newly wed, and loving every minute of life. When I was 5 I started sewing and have been sewing, and designing clothes ever since. Growing up in Southern California also provided the opportunity for me to learn how to surf. I love the ocean, but I also love the mountain. I love rock climbing and being out in nature. I also love shopping.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon. When I was 17 I was questioning what I believed, and wasn't sure what I really believed. My parents were very supportive of my decision to look in to many faiths, and I did so. I knew God existed, but I didn't know to what extent I believed in the LDS religion. So I sought out for the truth. As I investigated many faiths I always went back to the Mormon church. Everything about it feels right and brings such peace to my life. I prayed with everything in me, and came to know that The Church of Jesus Christ is the true church on the earth today. Many faiths have so many truths in them, but this brings a full truth into your life. Before I questioned the truthfulness of the gospel I just believed. I have come to know that the church is true. I know that our Savior lives. I know that our Heavenly Father lives, and they both loves everyone so unconditionally. I know that our big brother, Jesus Christ, knows all of our pains, sorrows, and sins. When we mourn he mourns with us. We are never alone. I also know that he knows our joys, happiness, and loves. He comforts us. When we come to Christ and our Heavenly Father we can experience more peace and love than we could ever know.

How I live my faith

In the past I have taught Sunday School in young single adult wards. I have also been involved in our women's organization, Relief Society, in the presidency. Since my husband and I were married I have had the pleasure of teaching 8-9 year old all out Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father, the holy ghost, and many other stories in The New Testament. Visiting teaching has also been my calling in the church for many years. It is such a blessing to have such wonderful children to teach the gospel to, even though they have a lot of energy. Many times they teach me more by their Christlike example than I could have ever imagined. I also love being able to visit other women who are members of the church, and seeing how everything is going in their life.
