Hi I'm Jenny

I'm serving a mission in NYC, I love rock climbing, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family was converted when I was 5 and we were sealed in the Washington D.C. Temple. I'm currently a college student studying Civil Engineering because I want to make a difference in the lives of other people. I love music especially the piano, and violin. I love hiking, biking, running, rappelling, rock climbing, camping, and being outdoors. I love playing/watching sports and trying new things. I've had the amazing experience of living in China for three summers. I speak Mandarin Chinese, and English. I am currently serving a mission in the New York New York North mission in Chinatown speaking Mandarin.

Why I am a Mormon

I've pretty much grown up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Many times in my life, I have been blessed by the gospel either through the example of others or by small and simple things that bless me on a daily basis. I have a very strong testimony of prayer and it works. I know that prayers are heard and are answered. I also have a very strong testimony of the blessings of going to the temple. I have seen the blessings that the gospel has brought me and my family all because some missionaries decided to knock on our door. Because those missionaries have given my family the greatest gift in the world that is the gospel, I have a great respect for missionaries and the work that they do.

How I live my faith

I strive to keep the commandments every day and to do the small and simple things. Such as praying night and day, studying the scriptures, attending the temple weekly, going to church and fulfilling my church callings. Currently as ward organist, I try to play in a way that is respectful and try to do my part in helping the spirit to be present in our church meetings. I try to be an example to others through service. I have learned to love service through the example of others and because I have seen what great blessings come to us and those we serve when we choose to take time out of our day to help others.
