Hi I'm Liz

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a daughter, sister, an aunt, a best friend, a traveler, an avid boot camp enthusiast, a claims adjuster, a weather enthusiast, and a baker.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ just makes sense to me. I know without a doubt that Christ's church is restored here on this earth. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us so much. They have given us another set of scripture, a companion to the bible, to increase our faith in these Latter Days. I would be so lost without the scriptures. Sometimes it's really hard to find time during the day to read and pray. However, as I have done this, I have never felt alone. I have always felt my Savior's love and an outpouring of the Spirit when I follow these simple principles of study and prayer. The church teaches guiding principles to help us return to live with our Father in Heaven. We believe in personal revelation and that God speaks to us again. Why wouldn't He? Everything is so simple and just makes complete sense. I love this gospel.

How I live my faith

When I moved away from home and left for college, I was pretty much on my own. My parents were far way and I had to know for myself that the church was true. I then learned that it was true no matter where I was in the world. I made some great friends in a small branch in Lubbock, TX. That small branch was the turning point in my conversion. I chose good friends and made good choices. I wanted to be better. I started praying every single day and reading my scriptures. I learned more and more about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. It was at that time that I knew I was a daughter of God and that I was loved by my Heavenly Father. At this time, I am serving In Young Women's (which is the girl's youth organization) in my local congregation. I still don't know all the girls but as I serve the girls, I feel such a strong love for these girls and I want them to succeed and become faithful daughters of God.
