Hi I'm Hayley

I grew up in Arizona doing costuming. I moved to Virginia where I met my husband. I'm now a Navy wife and mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Theatre has been my life since I was a kid. As I've gotten older, I have come to realize the importance of the choices I have made to live the life I lead. I often get the opportunity to share the things that I believe in with others. I have been blessed to never feel ashamed in talking about my religion, as well as being blessed with the friends I have made. I've never been pressured to do things that I didn't agree with because of the respect I gained from those around me. I have always been grateful for that. In trying to find a new job, I listened to the Holy Ghost and found myself moving across the country. It was a difficult decision, but I now know why it needed to happen. After working there for a short time, I found my now husband and I also learned many things, along with self esteem and confidence in what I do, while working in Virginia. I am now a Navy wife and am expecting our first boy, newly stationed back on the West Coast. I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had to learn the things that I needed to to get me through tough times ahead. I have the sewing skills in costuming and others things to be able to provide for my family while being about to be a stay at home mother. I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity. I know that the Lord prepared me in ways that I couldn't have imagined. I continue to grow in my faith and my skills as I move on to other jobs, furthering my talents that the Lord blessed me with.,

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and have always felt like it was home. No matter where I travel, I always feel like I belong. I had the opportunity to travel with my family to church historic sights when I was younger. Sans the temple, I have never been in a more spiritual place than in the Sacred Grove and the Whitmer Store where Christ himself stood and restored the church. That feeling still continues with me today. Whenever I'm having a hard time, I can think back to that experience and remember the spirit that I felt when standing in those holy places. I believe with all of my heart that this Gospel is true. I couldn't be more grateful for it in my life and have no desire to know what life would be without it. I have seen it change lives, as well as it continues to change my own.

How I live my faith

I'm currently a teacher in my ward. I get the opportunity once a month to prepare and share a lesson to the ladies. It is such a great opportunity that I look forward to. I know that the Lord has blessed me, as well as others, through the lessons that I teach. My husband and I are also involved with the choir. We meet every Sunday after church to practice and learn new songs that we perform. We both have a background in music, so it's a great opportunity to grow in our talents and to share it with others. There is nothing like being about to feel the spirit through song.
