Hi I'm Elizabeth Billings

I'm a college student, I'm a Texan, I'm a lover of laughter and of tasty food, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college sophomore majoring in Accounting and I'm from the great land of Texas. Ever since I was little I've loved Math, and that hasn't changed throughout my short college career. When I'm not in class, you can find me jamming out to music on my laptop or curled up somewhere with a good book (I may be a little addicted to reading). Music is such a huge part of my life! Some of my hobbies and interests are singing, playing the piano, collecting inspirational quotes, reading, cracking cheese jokes, and building card towers.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this church by two amazing and diligent members. But truthfully I'm not a member of this church just because I was raised in it. When I was eight years old, my parents had the missionaries come over to teach me the gospel just like any other investigator (those who are interested in the church). It was then that I began to feel the truthfulness of the teachings of this church, and ever since then my faith and belief in this church has grown exponentially. All in all, I am a member of the Mormon church because I have a belief that it and all of its teachings are true. I love my Savior and I have a desire to follow Him!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through planning and teaching a church class for Young Single Adults (ages 18-30) every other week. Along with that, I seek to become more like my Savior, Jesus Christ, as I study my scriptures everyday (the Book of Mormon and the Bible), say my prayers, and help others that I come in contact with in anyway that I can. I really feel like I live my faith through all actions of service I do. I know it is through service that I can feel the love God has for me and for those around me.
