Hi I'm Cassidy Corinne

I am a night owl. I am a high school student. I am creative. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a big, happy family. I have three brothers, three sisters, and two amazing, happy parents. I collect copies of Pride & Prejudice (the best novel out there). I usually eat five to eight salads in a week. Some of my favorite things include: Sculpting, baking, design, Harry Potter, candles, and rock climbing. I'm an introvert, but I love to have a good, long conversation with just about anyone. I love to watch movies of all genres. A good book can entertain me for hours. I have a slight obsession with herbal tea (which is starting to become a financial burden, but it's worth it). My mental state is a confusing one. I have anxiety and depression, but they aren't so bad with medication. I have Selective Sensitivity to Sound Syndrome (4S), OCD, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I am a Highly Sensitive Person. I'm a recovered/recovering anorexic, but I haven't dieted in a while. I think that sums me up pretty well.

Why I am a Mormon

I could not imagine my life without the church in it- everything would be different. I've grown up in the church, but that's not at all why I Love it so much. I Love and embrace it because I have been able to feel the Spirit tell me it is true. I could not be where I am without Heavenly Father's constant guidance. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and it, too, has guided me throughout my life, especially in the past year as my testimony has increased and I've gotten to search the scriptures for real answers I've needed, and they have been answered. Never have I prayed and not received the answer I needed.

How I live my faith

I always go to the firesides for Youth, and often go to Recipe Group with my mom. I try to go to every Ward/Stake activity we have, whether it be a picnic, Halloween party, or talent show. I plan to attend EFY (Especially For Youth) every summer, even though I've only gone once so far. I go to Young Women's Camp during the summer as well, and also Youth Conference. And I Love it all.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Cassidy Corinne
We absolutely believe that men and women were created equal, and that they are equal. The misconception comes from the fact that we also believe that man and woman are given separate divine responsibilities and purposes in life. We know and believe that there are differences between man and woman, and we embrace those differences because they can help us to fulfill the divine purposes that man and woman have.
