Hi I'm Lanae

I am a mother of four boys, a personal trainer, and an American Sign Language interpreter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love learning about new cultures, languages, and religious beliefs. I have a passion for my family and love having us all together to share memories and make new memories. I find balance in life through helping others, exercising (lots of road and mountain biking and swimming), reading, and an occasional nap at the beach :-). I started my own business as a CFT (Certified Fitness Trainer) nine years ago and have competed in body-building competitions. I am working on a 2nd career as a certified ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter. I love being a grandma to four beautiful granddaughters after raising four sons.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon, but became truly converted when I was 18 and at college. I have friends from other faiths and have been in their churches and studied their religions. I have not found any other religion where I feel the spirit of the Lord as strong. There is some truth in most religions, but I feel the most truth in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The difference is the priesthood, or the authority to act in the name of God, and a living prophet that receives revelation for our day. The doctrines and standards are unchanging even though society is constantly changing. I am a Mormon because I know it to be true.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by actively serving in my community and church. I have been PTA President at several different schools, Citizen Scholarship Foundation Board (scholarships for HS seniors) and most importantly I have always volunteered in my childrens' classrooms. I am currently volunteering at DCS (Deaf Community Services) and also at a school for deaf children. I am the Director of Public Affairs for the Church in the city that I live in. I truly enjoy getting to know so many good people in the community. We honor teachers and outstanding community members who help strengthen families. I also live my faith by trying to be a good wife, mom, grandma, neighbor and friend. I study Christ's life daily and believe in personal revelation from God. I strive to live my life by the spirit (Holy Ghost). Christ is my example of how to live my faith.
