Hi I'm Natalie

I have a full time job, I'm a mom and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to an awesome husband and daddy to my two kids. I work full time at a construction company while my husband goes to school full time. Although I really enjoy what I do, it's hard to be away from my kids everyday. I don't have a ton of free time, but when I do find some, I love to hang out with my family, craft, sing with my daughter, and talk to my mom!

Why I am a Mormon

There are several reasons I belong to the LDS church. I love the peace and comfort it brings into my life. It gives me guidance in times of confusion and despair. I feel the love that my Heavenly Father and Savior have for me and the joy I get when I choose the right. BUT my number one favorite thing about this gospel is the beauty and teachings that come from the holy temples placed on the Earth today. Temples are a special place where families can be sealed to one another forever; husbands and wives, parents and children. Being a mother, I've realized that it's all about families. If our Heavenly Father loves us, wouldn't He want us to be with the people who make us most happy forever? Yes, he does want that! The temple is where that sacred ordinance takes place. I have faith and hope that I will live with my husband and my children forever. It is such a beautiful teaching.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by praying on a regular basis, morning and night as well as having a prayer in my heart all day. I've found that I often say little prayers throughout the day, thanking Heavenly Father for small blessings I notice, or asking Him to protect my family while I'm away. My husband and I also try to read our scriptures as a family. While our kids are still very young, we know that it's important to instill the teachings and messages of our Savior into their lives. I feel that, as a mother, it's my job to let my kids know that their brother Jesus Christ loves them so much; enough for Him to suffer and die for them, so that they can be happy forever. I also have the great privilege and opportunity to work with and teach the young women in my ward, ages 12-18. The young women have so much energy and a great spirit about them. I love them all so much. The youth of our days are facing many great challenges. I realize that the temptation of morality is increasing in the world, with the help of the media. Girls are more pressured than ever to be beautiful and get the approval of those around them. I'm so grateful for my calling and that I can help young girls see that they are daughters of a king; princesses of the Almighty God. They don't need the approval of the world. I have great hope for this generation. Even though there is so much temptation in their lives, I see testimonies in these girls that will last through the trials and challenges that they each face. I'm so thankful for the commandments the Lord has given us. While some people see them as restricting, I know that they are for our own safety and that by living them, we will get blessings. I'm so grateful that I'm not chained down by destructive habits. What many people don't understand is that, by choosing the right and keeping the commandments, we are free. I'm eternally grateful that I have this knowledge and the gospel in my life.
