Hi I'm Ryan

I grew up in Austin, Texas. I am a father of 5 and I work as a Operations Manager for a large manufacturing company.

About Me

I work as a manufacturing engineer for a large earth moving machinery company. I am married with 5 children. I enjoy hiking and camping with my boys. I grew up in Texas, however I haven't lived there for a couple of decades now. My wife affectionately refers to me as her "ex-Texan". For those of you who may not know, this can be offensive to a "displaced" Texan. I love lacrosse and like to think I am as good as I once was. I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were converts to the church in their early 20's so my siblings and I grew up in the church. As I was taught the gospel and I lived and applied the teachings in my life I came to know, just as my parents did, that this is the gospel of Jesus Christ. I read the Book of Mormon then prayed to know if it was true and God answered my prayer. I love to listen to living prophets and find great comfort in knowing that God has not forgotten his children. That He has sent us prophets in these last days to teach and instruct us like he has done throughout all the world's history. As a husband and father I appreciate the teachings of strong family values and morals. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me be better than I otherwise would be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example and witness of the Savior. One thing I love about the gospel of Jesus Christ is that it expects you to live your religion. I serve in many capacities but especially love working with the young men and the local boy scout troop. It helps me think I am still young.
