Hi I'm Marcie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I’m Marcie, I moved to the White Mountains in1975 when my father bought a logging operation. Logging has been in our family for several generations. Since I came from a logging family I learned early a love for the mountains. My favorite things to do in the mountains are ride horses and camp with my husband and family. I have five children and 7 amazing grandchildren. I am a principal at the elementary school and my favorite hobby is reading. I also coached volleyball, softball, and track and I love all sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and from a young age I have known that I have a Father in Heaven who knows me and loves me. I also know that my elder brother Jesus Christ loved me enough to suffer for my sins in Gethsemane. Because I know I have a Heavenly Father and elder brother I also know that I have a Heavenly Mother. I know that family is central in our Heavenly Father’s plan for us. We are here in families because that is how we love and support each other. I know that heaven will be organized in families and that I can have my family with me eternally. My family here on earth is very close and even though we make mistakes we are still there to love and support each other.

How I live my faith

I try to follow my Savior’s example. I have tried to raise my children so they will know they have a Father in Heaven who knows and loves them. I rely on my testimony of the Savior knowing he will answer my prayers and help me with decisions I need to make each day. Every day I am learning more to recognize the hand of the Lord in my life and the lives of my family and those around me. I love Sundays because of the wonderful talks and lessons I hear in church. I continue to pray and read my scriptures so I can have a more personal relationship with my Heavenly Father and Savior.
