Hi I'm Ashley Lower

I'm a recreation therapist. I love everything about the outdoors. I'm an aunt. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Ashley. I was born in Los Angeles, grew up in St. Louis and moved to Provo, Utah after high school for college. I attended Brigham Young University. I loved being a student and especially loved learning. I may have wanted to be a lifelong student. However, I did end up graduating and have been a recreation therapist at a residential treatment center in Provo, Utah since. I love spending time with the students there, and take every opportunity I can to take them out on an adventure. I love anything outdoors and anything that keeps me on the move. I love exploring new places and learning about different cultures. Most of all though, I love spending time with my family. Even though we all live far apart, I try to visit as often as possible to keep my important role as the favorite aunt.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the Spirit testify to me on numerous occasions of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Growing up, my parents showed by their the happiness and joy that comes as we live righteously and follow our Savior's example. They helped sink roots deep into my soul that the only way to true happiness is by following in the footsteps of our Savior. Although life has had its challenges, disappointments and setbacks, my Savior has ALWAYS stood by me and carried me through. I have felt peace at times when there was turmoil surrounding me. I have felt my Heavenly Father's love for me as I have prayed to Him for guidance in my life. He knows me. He knows you. He knows each of His children no matter where they are on this earth. Not only does He know us, but He cares deeply for us. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth to suffer, bleed and die for us, and then rise again, that we too may live again. As I make mistakes in life, because of this suffering, because of His Atonement, I can be cleansed and become clean again. I need my Savior's forgiveness. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know these things and so much more to be true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith simply by loving others. I try everyday to live by the values I believe in, and to treat others with kindness and respect. I look for opportunities to do something to help others, or to simply make someone smile. Everyone deserves to smile about something every, single day no matter what is going on in their life. I try to live each day with hope in the future that I can spread to others as well. I make an effort to serve faithfully in every assignment I am given at church. I want to live my life with integrity!
