Hi I'm Amy

I was born in Oregon. I love drawing and singing and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Amy and I go to high school. I love to draw landscapes and places I've been to. I also love to sing in church and school choir. I am a mama's girl. Someday I would like to go to college and become an Art teacher. I love the gospel and I hope to keep on living it's legacy for all time and eternity.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and my family was very active in the church. We went to church every sunday to listen to the speakers. As I grew up in primary, I sort of lived off of my parents testimony insead of my own because I was to young (for me atleast) to have a testimony of my own. As the years went by, it was finally my eighth birthday (near my baptism). Even though I had my parents testimony, I realized that I had to gain my own testimony. For a few weeks before my eighth birthday, I have been thinking about what I believe and if I new for myself that this church is true. I even prayed a lot to make sure. I came to the conclusion that even though I was nearly an eight year old, I knew, for myself, that this church is true. I went ahead and had the interview with my bishop and he said that I have a pretty good understanding of the church. After that, I got baptised and it was the best day of my life so far. As I continue to grow older, I hope to Expand my testimony and make it stronger. All and all, I KNOW that this church is true and I love heavenly father and his son and everyone that supports me threw my life. I hope to continue living by the standards of the church. I hold this church very close to my heart because I love it so much. This is why I continued to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

When I became twelve, I had my first calling to become the secretary for the beehives in young womans [Young Womans is for girls 12 to 17 and it's broken up into 3 groups, the youngest group: named Beehives(12 to 13), a middle aged group: named Miamaids(14 to 15), and the highest aged group: named Laurels(16 to 17)] To be the Secertary, you have to be atleast some what organized. You have to take attendance of the girls in your group, then you would have to report it to the actual Secretary of all of the groups in young womans. The main secretary then takes the attendance to the Bishop so that they know who showed up. Even though it was tiring at first, I got to learn new skills, for example, to become more organized. After that, I became President of the Beehives. I actually loved being the President of the beehives because I became close friends with the girls who were in my presidency, and with the girls who weren't. I became a better leader because of that calling. Now that I'm in Miamaids, I have been the secretary for this group for a few months now. these are some of my callings I received; now I will talk about some of my accomplishments that I did to help other people. I love to help people. I've helped people move into their new houses, I've also helped garden other peoples gardens. I also help people with simple stuff too. These are some of my accomplishments and callings, I hope I didn't confuse you to much.( I'm sorry if I did)
