Hi I'm MaryJo

I'm a wife, a mother of 5, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a woman who enjoys spending time with my family, playing racquetball with my husband, camping, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and was raised by parents who taught me values and what our beliefs are. As I got older, I studied on my own and continued going to church, learning from other people about our religion. I have come to know for myself the truthfulness of the gospel through personal prayer and study. I know that we are led by a prophet of God who is on the earth today, and that The Book of Mormon is true scripture, like the Bible. I know that God lives, and that Jesus Christ is His son.

How I live my faith

I am very active in my ward, serving currently as the Relief Society president, which is the organization for women. I go to church with my family each Sunday, and participate in activities during the week. There are activities for my children who are teenagers, who meet with other kids their age. In my responsibilities, I am aware of each woman in my ward, what her needs are, and what her situation is. I am also a visiting teacher, which means that I go with another lady in the ward, by assignment, to visit several women in the ward. We visit, share a message, and see how she is doing. I also teach on some Sundays and help plan and carry out activities for the women, focusing on the gospel, teaching skills, service, and strengthening friendships.
