Hi I'm Beckie

I am grateful to be a wife and mother. I enjoy sports, chocolate and antique shopping and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Whittier, California as a city girl, but found a love for country life after I married my husband Larry and we moved to rural Chandler, Arizona. Larry and I met at Brigham Young University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. I am grateful to be a mother of 5 children, grandmother and a homemaker. Some of my favorite things are: going to the beach, historical fiction books, reading to my grandchildren, watching a summer storm roll in, eating out, chocolate, antiques and exercising.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a loving family with a rich Mormon heritage. I have always known from a young age that I am a child of God, that He knows me and loves me. I cherish my knowledge that my Savior, Jesus Christ lives. He came to this earth to teach us to love one another, be happy and to overcome adversity. Because of His love for me and all mankind, He willingly suffered for my sins, shortcomings and heartaches. I'm grateful to know that because of Christ's atonement and suffering I can repent and start anew. I am a Mormon because I prayed to know if it is this church is true and received the answer that it is! Christ's church is here again in its fulness and this gives me comfort and the direction I need in my life. I know that families are forever and this life does not end after death. I know that the scriptures, including the Book of Mormon, are true. I am a Mormon because the church teaches me that I can pray to a loving Heavenly Father who hears me and loves me and will ALWAYS be there for me.

How I live my faith

I am grateful that as members of the church every member is given the opportunity to serve. Each time I am asked to serve I know it is for my benefit and learning. I have taught and I enjoy teaching children and young women ages 12-18. Recently I served with our young men ages 11- 18 as a Boy Scout leader. This was a very rewarding experience. The youth of today are amazing! I also enjoy visiting with the women in our ward and we develop loving friendships. I am trying to live my faith by remembering to pray every day, read my scriptures and look for ways to serve my fellowman and my family. Many times I fall short of doing these things but I know what is most important is to just keep trying everyday and to do my best.
