Hi I'm Glen

I'm a contract programmer, a divorced father of five, a good racquetball player, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a divorced father of five. All five are great kids. I gradulated from BYU in 1988, and my oldest daughter just gradulated there in April. My oldest son served as a missionary in northern Portugal, and will be starting grad school at BYU in January. Mechanical engineering. He is the lead singer for a classic rock band. My middle son is serving now as a missionary in Riverside, CA, speaking spanish. You get the idea - they are great kids, and I am a BYU fan. I did missionary service myself on the island of Puerto Rico 1979-1981. I had a great experience there and picked up Spanish. Si hablo Espanol. I love to play racquetball, and swim laps. I swam 271 miles last year. I just got a mountian bike, so that is new. I am a contract programmer, I have an LLC. I do iSeries programming using case tool technology.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been Mormon since 1831, we were some of the first. I am six generations, but I am Mormon by conviction not by tradition. I have read the Book of Mormon better than 20 times. I stopped counting, but I don't think I have hit 30 yet. The simple explaination is yes, God answers prayers. I know because he has answered mine. Not just about the Church, but about all kinds of stuff. Don't knock it until you try it. He answers prayers, you just have to follow the rules. They are: 1. Have faith in Christ - forgiveness is possible. 2. Have a sincere heart - you have to "really want to know" 3. Have real intent - be willing to do something about it. 4. Be humble - you don't already know it all. Easy - God loves Mormons too.

How I live my faith

I have never had a drink of alcohol, coffee or tasted a cigarette. Why should I? I go to church and I love to sing in the choir. That is just who I am, so deal with it.
