Hi I'm Gary

I'm a third generation Arizonan. I have six children and 19 grandchildren. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Tucson and have lived in Corvallis OR, West Lafayette, IN and Tempe, AZ. I come from pioneer stock who have sacrificed much. My life has been full because of their sacrifices. Blessings come to us because of what our ancestors have done. I have been trying to "give back" to the Lord, my family, and my community because of what I have been given. I have been in the insurance business since 1979. My wife Lucy and I have six children and 19 grandchildren. They are growing up strong in the faith and active in their communities. Their lives give me much happiness, and they bring credit to me and to our family's honor. I hope they will always remember me as someone who tried to do what is right, and to help others do the same.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because my parents raised me this way. But I have also gained my own testimony of the Savior and His plan for me. His Father, our Heavenly Father, has a great plan to help us become more like Him, if we will do His will. His blessings are great, compared to the little we can do to earn the blessings. Through Jesus Christ, and our obedience to his teachings and commandments, we can earn the right to live eternally at their side, as forever families.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others and trying to forget about myself and my desires. The Savior is the most "giving" person ever born. As we become more giving, like Him, we become more like Him. I learn to be more giving by praying, studying the Scriptures, attending Church, and serving in callings in my local Ward. My family is a great example to me, of how to be more giving and forgiving. As I forget myself and concentrate on others, I feel a peace and assurance that the Savior is pleased with my life. I am particularly pleased when I see others embrace the Gospel of Christ for the first time, or if they come back to being active in it. I always hope that I can be a good example of how to live my life, so others will try to do the same. I also enjoy doing things to help them see the love Jesus has for them.
