Hi I'm Julie!

I'm a blessed wife, a mom of 4 daughters and one son and I love life. I love to make people laugh and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 14 years to an amazing man that grew up around the corner from me. We have been blessed with 5 beautiful kids, 4 girls and 1 boy, ages 5-13. We've also picked up a couple others along the way that we call our own! I love being a wife and mother! I spend my days doing laundry, dishes, volunteering and carpools- along with hundreds of other mothers- and try to find happiness in the often mundane tasks! Our home is filled with music- singing, piano playing, and other instruments! I love food and love to bake and love to make goodies for my family and others. I love to blog to record the happenings of our family, I am a voracious reader and I love to car dance. I'm a happy person and try to make others happy!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is the only way to true happiness in this life and the next. Motherhood is hard, but I get help daily as I pray and receive guidance from a loving Heavenly Father, who knows me and loves me. I know I am a Daughter of God and this gives me strength. Knowing where I come from, why I am on this earth, and where I am going gives me peace and joy. I was raised by loving, faithful parents who taught me the way to live. I have this same desire in my own family. I'm a Mormon because I know the boy Joseph went in a grove of trees and knelt in humble prayer, and saw the Father and His Son. I know the church that was on the earth when Chirst lived has been restored and that we have a living prophet on the earth today. I know I have a Savior who suffered and died for me. I can return and live with Him, together with my sweet husband and precious children, the most important things in my life. This fills my heart with joy and makes me happy!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in everything I do. I live my faith in my home by trying to teach my children by example and through prayer, scriptures, and spending time together. I try to serve those around me and to help where I can to make our neighborhood, our schools, and our community a better place. I volunteer at my childrens' schools at least once a week and strive to treat each person or child I see with respect and to see them how their Father in Heaven sees them! We are all his children! I try to be happy so that those around me will know that following the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings joy! I am currently a leader of the organization of Young Women, ages 12-18. Working with these beautiful girls and seeing how they stand up for what is right amidst the evil of the world, is amazing!! Being a teenager is hard, but these girls know who they are. My heart is touched by them and their desire to be pure and virtuous and to live the standards of the Gospel. I feel it a great privilege and responsibility to be their leader.
