Hi I'm Sook

I am a mother of two little munchkins. I cook, bake, and blog. I take zillions of pictures of food and my kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom and I love spending time with my kids - I know some people might think less of me because I chose to stay at home even with a college degree but I am proud of my decision not to work full time away from my children. They are more important to me than a little extra money. I love to cook and bake - and I like to take pictures... so with that, I blog. I blog about food and my family. It's a lot of fun to share my recipes and my beliefs with others. I went to Brigham Young University-Idaho majoring in Sociology. I love learning about group behaviors and culture, etc. I am a convert to the church and I am from South Korea. I've been in the United States for almost 10 years now. My hope is to be able to share the gospel with my parents and my brother and someday they will be baptized, too!

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to two wonderful missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South Korea by a friend when I was 17 years old. I had always believed in the existence of God and Jesus Christ since I was a child... I just hadn't gone to any specific church because of my busy schedule as a student in South Korea. When I graduated from high school, I was ready to attend church regularly and I was fascinated by the doctrines and the people of the church. When I prayed about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon and other things that I was taught, I felt warm and tingly in my heart.. I can't say I knew the church was "true" at the moment but I knew that it was the church I was supposed to attend. It's been twelve years since I became a member of this church. I have served a full time mission in Mesa, AZ for 18 months, graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a degree in Sociology and Family Relations, married my sweetheart in the temple and now have two beautiful children. It's comforting to know that I will spend the rest of my eternity with my wonderful family. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and now I can say with confidence that the Church of Jesus Christ was restored on the earth by Joseph Smith and he translated the Book of Mormon with the power of God. I am proud to say that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I used to serve as a nursery leader for a year and a half. I loved the calling. I learned so much from those little toddlers. I've served as a missionary in Mesa, Arizona. I met so many wonderful people there! I look forward to having more callings in the future -
