Hi I'm Diana

I grew up in Utah. I love being with people. I try to help them exercise and develop healthier eating habits. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Helping people with weight loss, emotional eating, exercise, and achieving greater health is a big interest of mine because I have a lot of empathy for people who suffer like I did, with emotional inactivity and emotional eating. I recently became the Facilitator of our area Mormon Addiction Recovery Program (ARP) "Unhealthy Eating Behaviors" Group. In ARP groups we use the church's wonderful 12-Step ARP Manual available online at http://www.providentliving.org/familyservices/AddicitonRecoveryManual_36764000.pdf. This manual is full of the teachings of Jesus Christ, and recovery through Him. I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and an ACE Lifestyle and Weight Management Coach. I have been married for 27 years, and have 5 children. I enjoy playing the piano, singing, and spending time with my family. I exercise 6 days a week with wonderful friends, and feel very blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

I can't imagine a greater blessing than being a member of this church. I believe that every church contains good people and wonderful teachings, but with all of my heart I feel, believe, and even KNOW that this church contains the FULLNESS of Jesus Christ's gospel. I feel His love and guidance daily as I pray and read my scriptures. I love The Bible, The Book of Mormon, The Doctrine & Covenants, The Pearl of Great Price, and the words of the prophets that Jesus Christ wants us to hear to receive guidance at this specific time in the world. I feel deeply grateful for the guidance which all of these sacred words have provided for me in my individual life, my beautiful marriage and my service as the mother of 5 children. This guidance has been phenomenal! Throughout my life I have faced many difficult challenges. However, the teachings of Jesus Christ through this church, have helped me to continually rise above them. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that he desires for each one of us to be guided in our daily lives through His words so that we can be as happy as possible. I feel great joy as a member of this church! Through this church I have been taught how to receive greater access to God's power, especially in the Holy Temple. I pray that each person may receive great joy and guidance as I have as a member of this church! I extend my love to anyone who may read these words!

How I live my faith

Weight Loss. Healthy diet. Each week I help people who suffer from Food Addiction and other Addictions through LDS Family Services' Addiction Recovery Program. The manual we use is wonderful and is based on healing through Jesus Christ's teachings. It can be downloaded at http://www.providentliving.org/familyservices/AddicitonRecoveryManual_36764000.pdf. I also serve in my community as an advocate for exercise and healthy eating. I was on the radio recently promoting an exercise event in our community, and was asked to please continue to provide community support in that realm. I believe that Jesus has blessed me with a wealth of information which I need to share with others, so I am in the process of developing my own website which will provide much of the information on healthy eating and exercise which I have received. I found great joy recently when one of my clients who had previously been on 4 insulin shots a day, was able to improve his health to the point of not needing insulin at all for the last 2 months!!! Yay!!!! Life is good!

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Diana
This is a wonderful topic, which I am extremely enthusiastic about! Mormons have been greatly blessed by their code of health called The Word of Wisdom, revealed through the prophet Joseph Smith in the year 1833. It speaks against the use of tobacco, alcohol, coffee & tea, and illegal drugs. It exhorts us to eat healthy foods like grains, fruits and vegetables. In my field I am very emphatic about people nourishing their bodies and eating healthy foods, so I love the Word of Wisdom!!! I know that I have received from following it in my life!
