Hi I'm Emily

I was born and raised in Arizona. I am studying nutrition and German in school and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am college student, studying nutrition and German. I love traveling and had the opportunity to participate in a German exchange program. I am a musician and have played the bassoon for the past eight years. I love to read, be outside, play games, especially card games, and spend time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. However, at a young age, both my parents made choices that caused them to fall away. My mom was such an example to me and to see her leave made me question the truthfulness of the gospel. I had relied on my parent's testimony for my strength and when they left, I didn't have one of my own to help me. No body forced me to go to church and at times I didn't care to go. I had a hard time growing up and I felt lost, unloved, and forgotten. However, it was at church that I felt that peace, love and joy that the gospel brings. I had many people in my life that were sent to me and who made sure that I knew I wasn't forgotten and that a loving Heavenly Father was watching over me. I worked to gain my own testimony. I knew the church was true then and I know its true today. Time and circumstances have changed, yet the truthfulness of the gospel hasn't. It is still true and I know there is a living God who sent his son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins. I know he loves me and that I am his daughter.

How I live my faith

I participate every week in the meetings of my ward. I also attend institute, our church's religious class, at the local college. I also help with the ward service projects and activities.
