Hi I'm Amy

I'm a mom. I'm a physicist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a mom. My children are my life! I enjoy reading and learning new things. My husband and I met in college. I love music and physics.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that we have a Father in Heaven who loves us, and that Jesus Christ is our Redeemer. My parents are members of the church, and I grew up an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Even as a small child, I remember feeling the Spirit of the Lord. I just had a good feeling every time I read the scriptures with my family, learned about Jesus or sang a song about Him. As a teenager, I sought for a sure knowledge of the things my heart was telling me. As I read the scriptures, prayed to my Father in Heaven, and made choices consistent with my gospel learning, I felt surer and surer that my Father in Heaven knows and loves me, and that making choices consistent with the gospel of Jesus Christ is the way to happiness in this life and the next. I am so glad that my children will have the guiding truth of the gospel to help them as they make decisions in life.

How I live my faith

I am in charge of the children's organization in our church. At church, we teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the children from the scriptures and through song. It's such a special thing to see the children beginning to understand their worth and feel the Lord's love for them. I try and be aware of the children's individual needs as we all learn together. I always try to be accepting and loving of others, and to see them and their potential in the way that our Father sees them. I also believe strongly in voting and fulfilling civic duty.
