Hi I'm Anne Marie

I'm an author, blogger, piano instructor, composer, cellist, a mother of four, and a volleyball fanatic. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

God has blessed me with many talents and abilities and allows me to enjoy these to bless the lives of others. I've taught piano and written music for eighteen years, but recently have started writing fiction for children and young adults. I go into schools and teach children writing skills and to never stop imagining. I see so much need for children to feel loved and wanted. They know they have a voice and are so determined to be heard. I want to use my talents and abilities to help all of God's children find their voice and make it heard.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a baptized member of the church since eight years old. However, I feel that my true conversion came years later when my life started turning in a circle spiraling downward. I made some difficult choices and wanted to truly know for myself if what I heard taught every Sunday was right. My small insignificant testimony began to blossom as I lived God's commandments and sought after knowledge and truth. Suddenly, my downward spiral turned into an upward momentum that has kept steadily increasing ever since. I received a sure knowledge that the Savior knew and loved me and that I was redeemed through his atonement. Love and peace replaced sorrow and doubt and gave me a reserve of strength to sustain me through the trials of life that would eventually come.

How I live my faith

I love serving in the church and have had many wonderful opportunities to teach the women and the youth. But, my favorite thing to do by far is play the piano for the children. My heart is lifted every Sunday when I accompany the children as they sing their favorite song, "I Am a Child of God." What better witness of the Savior then those sublime voices singing praises to a God they know and who knows them.
