Hi I'm Alicia

I'm a happy mom, a runner, and a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of seven kids, right in the middle. My siblings are my closest friends even though we live hundreds of miles apart. I graduated from BYU with a degree in elementary education and did my student teaching in Washington D.C. I will forever be grateful for the lessons I learned from my incredible mentor teacher. We recently moved to Spokane while my husband attends law school. We are BIG fans of the area. I am now a stay-at-home mom with my rambunctious little boys. We spend most of our time picking up bugs, playing with race cars, and reading picture books. I LOVE to run and spend time outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ affects every area of my life. It gives me hope, strength, direction, help, happiness, reassurance, and provides safety. I grew up in the church but am not a member out of tradition. I have learned through sincere prayer that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's church upon the earth. Jesus Christ is the cornerstone and He directs the church through His apostles and prophets today.

How I live my faith

I try to follow the example of Jesus Christ and serve other people everyday. I serve my husband by supporting him through school and my little boys by wiping their runny noses, putting bandaids on their scraped knees, and reading their favorite books for the billionth time. I serve my neighbors with cookies or a smile. I serve my friends by babysitting their children or being a listening ear. I serve my ward members by organizing events and visiting their homes and sharing a spiritual message.
