Hi I'm Lauren Elizabeth

I grew up on John Wayne and Chris Ledoux. I love my family, and I love our lifestyle. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

There are some things you just can't take away from a person. Things they love, memories they've made... you know.. that kind of stuff! For me, it is my love for the country and small town life! Being a rancher, my Dad's unsaid motto is.. if you're not working you are wasting your time. The reason I put that here is- it's that motto that turned me into who I am today. His value of hard work shaped me into a young woman who loves seeing things grow, animals taken care of, and people growing because they work hard. I love riding, I have grown to love working cows, and I love that simple principle of work has taught me not just who I truly am, but what I can accomplish. I'm a daughter, I'm a sister, I'm a cowgirl, and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. There are moments in your life, when you are by yourself. When there is no one else around you, telling you what you should or shouldn't do... it is just you and your own thoughts. It's been at those times that I have asked myself, do you truly believe it all? The answer is a simple yes and it is simple for this reason- there have been times in my life when I have felt something. There were no angels singing in the background, there were no glorious versed scriptures that laid out my life's plan for me, but there was a feeling of home. I have been troubled, and that feeling has come to me. I have been literally lost, and that feeling has come to me. It is that Spirit, that teaches me who I am and it is that feeling, the knowledge that in the gospel I have found who I am and where I belong, that lead me to answer yes, I believe it all. The simple answer to why I am a Mormon is this- It is in the Gospel of Jesus Christ that I am home. I tend to put so much pressure on myself to be perfect, to never make a mistake and when I have, the disappointment I have felt in myself was truly heart breaking. That may sound silly to you, but no matter how it happened- i've had my heart broken. It was at those times, that when I felt like i was worth the least, The Savior loved me through it, and taught me what I am worth to him. He loves me through my mistakes and my shortcomings and it is that Savior, It is that man that I will follow anywhere. It is His church that I belong to, it is His love that makes me feel at home. And it is His love that surrounds us all, both you and I. I am a Mormon because I love the Savior, Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I choose to be.

How I live my faith

Faith is about who you are. It is a part of you, it is how you treat people, how you interact with them. I live my faith trying to be the best person I can be. This is something I definitely need to work on! But hey... life is about becoming right?

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Lauren Elizabeth
Abraham LIncoln said, when I do good, I feel good. The principle behind that is that there are certain things in life that bring true happiness into your life. Reading the scriptures, has brought that happiness into my own life. Show more Show less
