Hi I'm Jenna

I'm 20 years old, and I want to be an elementary-school teacher. I adore Spanish and would love to travel the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student at Brigham Young University studying Elementary Education, but I am putting my schooling aside for 18 months to serve a mission in Chicago-West. There, I will be preaching the gospel in the Spanish language, which I've always felt a strong connection and passion for. I love to learn new things, go on adventures and walks, play lacrosse, and bake (especially cupcakes). I hope to someday teach abroad and travel the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the church, but it wasn't until I was 13 that I fully understood the truthfulness of the gospel. I was a middle-schooler, confused about my direction in life. I wanted to know that there really was a God and a Christ, so I prayed earnestly to know that they existed and loved me. My desperate prayer was answered, and I felt a love and comfort that I haven't known since that day. I know that God and Christ are real, and that they love us all beyond anything we can imagine. Over the years, I have studied this religion in more depth, and the more I learn about the gospel, the more it make sense to me. The gospel is perfect, though the people are not. The gospel is simple and fits together so perfectly. It provides a way for all to be saved, not just those who hear the word in this life. God loves us all and wants us all to return to Him, so He gives us many opportunities to accept His word. I love the gospel with all my heart and know that it is God's word and His work.

How I live my faith

I have served in several callings in my church (assigned positions to help in organization and leadership), but the biggest calling in my life has been the call to serve a mission. I will be living away from my family and my friends, teaching the gospel to those who want to hear.
