Hi I'm Dan

I am a community architect, a Bishop, and I am proud to be a Mormon

About Me

I graduated from college in the 80's with a degree in Landscape Architecture. I have been working for 27 years designing communities for people to live in. I enjoy motorcycle riding in the country, model trains and reading fantasy fiction and science fiction. I have 4 married children, 6 grandchildren and one more on the way and love bring a grandpa.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 14 I was pondering the story of Joseph Smith after attending a meeting where they told us the story of his seeking to know which church to join by praying directly to our Father in Heaven. It had great impact on me and I received a confirmation, through prayer, by the spirit, that it was a true event. Since that time I have tried to learn as much as possible about the gospel of Jesus Christ and to live according to His teachings. I have also felt the spirit witness to me that the Book of Mormon is a true accounting of the people who lived on the American Continent before, during, and after Christ's life on the earth and of the visit of Jesus Christ to them shortly after His death. It is an honor to devote my life in the service of Christ and my fellow beings by being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the bishop in our ward and love helping others come unto Christ. I get to work with the youth and adults by counseling and advising them in making decisions regarding life's questions and teaching them about principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
