Hi I'm Brittany

I'm a Mormon, a Mom, and so much more! I have 3 beautiful kids, and a wonderful husband.

About Me

I'm a Mom to 3 beautiful children, a wife to an amazing man and a part time receptionist. I graduated from BYU with a degree in Psychology, which I use everyday as I try and raise my children to be respectful, empathetic and independent adults. I love to read, especially on my Kindle. I also enjoy being outdoors. I love to camp, waterski, hike, and I recently started to enjoy backpacking. I love reading to my kids and I enjoy helping them with their homework. I love art history and would love to return to Europe someday with my husband. I love to travel and if money permitted I would travel the world! But I also enjoy living in my small community and participating in local events. I also love school. When my children are grown I would love to back to school and earn a law degree.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I have a testimony of this gospel. I grew up in the church, was baptized a member of the church when I was 8 years old but I truly gained my own testimony when I was 15 years old. I decided when I was 15 years old that I wasn't going to belong to a church I didn't believe was true and I didn't want to commit my life to something unless I knew in my heart it was true. I believe that God answers prayers but I must do my part too. So I went to the Lord, many times, asking if this church was true. I prayed, read the Book of Mormon and studied the gospel. I never saw a heavenly messenger, or a light from heaven, but the feeling I felt in my heart after prayer and studying the scriptures I could never deny. The feeling of the truthfulness of this gospel overwhelmed me to the point of tears. Ever since that day I committed my life to the Lord. I felt that if the Lord told me this gospel is true then I was going to live the gospel to the fullest.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. I try and teach my children about Jesus Christ. I try and point out opportunities for them to share the gospel with their friends, and show they how to live their faith in everyday life. We pray as a family, and encourage our children to pray by themselves. I teach the Youth of our church, specifically girls ages 12-18. I love serving them. I teach them on Sundays different gospel lessons that hopefully will help them live in this ever difficult world. Then on a week day I get together with these girls for an activity that helps strengthen and teach them to hopefully become better young women. I also meet with 4 women in our ward monthly. I go to their homes and visit with them and we talk of the gospel. I have gotten to know these women individually and we have become friends as we talk of our lives and the gospel. I love Living my Faith.
