Hi I'm Ben

I live in Madison Wisconsin and study biophysics. I am a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in upstate New York, studied physics at Rochester Institute of Technology, worked for a construction company, went back to school at the University of Wisconsin Madison to study biophysics, and that is where I am now. I enjoy photography, crochet, and Tae Kwan Do.

Why I am a Mormon

The Book of Mormon has convinced me that Jesus is the Christ. Through the teachings of the Book of Mormon and the bible I have come to learn that it is only by and through Christ that we can have any hope of salvation, redemption and eternal life. It is wonderful to me to know that He has made it possible for me to live with God and my family forever. I have also learned that the suffering of Jesus Christ is not just for the afterlife, it is for this life here and now. It is through Him that we can gain peace and hope. I know that no matter who I am, or what I have done, there is one person who loves me enough that he suffered and died for me. If he loves me so much, how can I not return that love and follow his commandments. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

The lord taught that the two greatest commandments are to love God with all our hearts might mind and strength and to love others as ourselves. I try to model how I live my faith based on these two commandments . I believe that the best way to show love is to serve. I try to serve God by never turning down a chance to serve in the Mormon church when I am asked. I try to serve my fellow people by participating in any service activities that I can.

What is faith?

To have faith is to trust God. I know that he loves me and that he wants what is best for me so I trust him, and I put my faith in him by doing what he asks me to. Show more Show less
