Hi I'm Scott

I grew up in San Deigo, CA, USA. I have 4 wonderful children, a wonderful wife, and 13 grand children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I train people in cyber security and organizational change management. I spent 12 years in the Army. As a result,my family had the opportunity to spend several years in Germany. We met wonderful people from many countries. I enjoy the outdoors and play racquetball several times a week. I enjoy reading, technology, and finding new ways to do things and learning.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have had the gift from God to always know, at some level that Jesus is the Christ. But, just like everyone else, I had to build that general feeling into a sure knowledge that Jesus is the Christ and that there are living apostles and prophets on the earth today. I have studied several religions of the world and spoken with many Christian church leaders. In each case my testimony that Jesus is the Christ and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only church that contains the fullness of His teachings, has been reaffirmed and strengthened. More importantly, I have studied the Bible and the Book of Mormon for more than 40 years. I have pondered their teachings and asked God if they are true, knowing He has promised to answer those who sincerely study and ask. He has answered that prayer. I now know for myself Jesus is the Christ and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His church, restored to the earth in its fullness. You can have your own answer from God. He is the only sure source for that answer.

How I live my faith

I serve in my community and church. I serve on the neighborhood community board, am a Sunday School teacher for nine young adults (ages 12-14) each Sunday, update a missionary board at our church area headquarters, and schedule meetings for some of our church leaders. More importantly, I do my best to teach my children and grandchildren the full gospel of Jesus Christ by precept and by example. I make mistakes, but I know I am doing the most important work I can do. Nothing will have a greater impact in the world now or in the world to come.
