Hi I'm MAX K DUMMAR

Live in Texas. I'm training to be a Physical Therapist & serve in the Army. I'm a husband, father, student &soldier. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of a beautiful daughter. Married to a wonderful woman. I love spending time with my family doing what ever we have to do work or play. I enjoy skiing, playing soccer, and learning about the amazing properties of the body and its abilities to move and restore itself. I was raised in Utah where I learned many lifelong values from my parents, family, and church leaders. I received my Eagle scout award at age 14 and worked many hard days in construction with my father until age 19. I served in Argentina for two years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. While serving, I helped others in Argentina learn and live principles of his gospel in order to find greater joy and happiness in this life. I struggled many months to learn the Spanish language so I could better teach and serve those I lived among. After serving my church I joined the army and attended Basic training and, I now currently serve active duty as I strive to earn my doctorate in physical therapy from Baylor University.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a child I always felt very strongly about the things I learned at church and about my savior Jesus Christ. I can remember from a very young age of the comfort that came from knowing about heavenly fathers plan especially about where we would go after this life. While I was young I knew of the blessings of living the gospel but did not understand just how great they were. While serving in Argentina I listened to the many stories of those who came to know the gospel later in their life and the joy, peace, and blessings that came through living it. I often desired to have a similar experience as these people until one day while teaching I realized that I am the living proof that this is his gospel. Why did I find joy in my life in the everyday experience and in my family. It was because I was born and raised within the gospel. I knew no confusion of the world because I had the teachings of the latter day revelations of today's prophets. I am thankful for the gospel in my life and hope that I may extend its teachings and blessings to all heavenly fathers children. I find no greater comfort for the future then the ability to receive daily guidance through listening to the guidance of my savior Jesus Christ through personal prayer and his prophets of old and today.

How I live my faith

Within the church of Jesus Christ none of our members are paid to do the work that we do within the church. I have served in many different leadership and teaching positions where I have been called by revelation. I have served as a Sunday school teacher, in the Sunday school presidency, ward mission leader, and many other positions since I received the Aronic priesthood at age 12. Each of these positions have been a blessing to my life as I have had the opportunity to serve my fellow men and women both within and without the body of the church.
