Hi I'm Rachael

I'm a mom who loves to travel. I'm a lover all of things homemade and I love to quilt. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mother of 3 children and am expecting my 4th this spring. My husband and I have recently finished a two year remodeling project of our home, where we have done most of the work ourselves. We loved it and hated it at the same time! I am originally from the midwest and sometimes you can hear a midwestern accent come out! I have been making homemade soap for my family for the last 9 years and have recently began taking that to another level and opened an internet shop. I also love to create things like quilts. Being a busy mom doesn't give me much time to be creative, but it's something that I love. I would also love to have a HUGE garden and own some chickens one day. Dreams are something to always have and those are just a couple of mine!

Why I am a Mormon

Happiness, true happiness is why I'm a Mormon. I was fortunate to have been raised LDS from birth and have married into a family with strong LDS values as my own families. Thus giving my children plenty of examples to learn from. My little family has been living away from all our extended family for over 4 years and yet we still have a "family" within our congregation here in Washington. There is always help to be had and support to be found. True happiness comes from not only receiving that help and support, but for me, to be able to serve and support others. Being Mormon has shown me how to be selfless and kind to EVERYONE, regardless. Sometimes I can't always explain the whys and hows as articulately as I would want, but just to have Faith that what I am taught is true, brings me more happiness than can be explained. The feelings I get when I hear the words of our Prophet touches my heart in a way that I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my life loving my children, loving my husband and serving others without any expectation of being rewarded. I serve with happiness and willingness. I teach lessons to 4 year olds and have taught lessons on gospel principles to women of the church as well. I volunteer in every aspect of my membership in the LDS church. I attend meetings each week and share my knowledge, both gospel oriented and other aspects. I teach classes on canning, sewing, organizing, and others. I also LEARN from the other women and men in our congregation on a weekly basis. I spend time listening to other women and laughing and crying with them as well. A lot of my days are spent with my own family, but never a day goes by that I don't have someone to reach out to or to lend a helping hand or make a phone call to.
