Hi I'm Steven

I'm an Arizona native, a voracious reader, I love to sing, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My imagination runs wild. To me, a dream is a star in the sky waiting for you to reach up and make it a reality. Someday I hope to be a published author, whether full-time or part-time it is something I have always wanted to fufill. Something very important to me is my family, I am the oldest of five kids. It's quite the experience, it certainly has it's challenges but I am thankful for my siblings and the simple things they teach me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a member of the Church. As I reached adolescence, I decided that regardless of my family and church leaders' influences on me, I had to find a knowledge that God was real and that this was the true church. I prayed read my scriptures and in due time I received a confirmation in my heart that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. That we have a loving Heavenly Father who created our spirits, and he sent his son Jesus Christ to die and live again. Not only did he suffer for our sins, but for our sicknesses, sorrows, pains, inconveniences. With that sacrifice he knows us with an infinite and knowing love that is beyond comprehension. This is truth that brings so much peace and light into my life. I am not perfect. No one in this church or outside of it can claim perfection. But we can have hope, hope in an atoning and loving elder brother who died and prepared a way for each of his siblings, if we will just listen and learn of him. These things I feel in my heart, and relief me of so much sorrow. The world around us is darkening day by day. I look to my Savior Jesus Christ as a guide as I journey through this life. I have tripped, fallen and skinned my knees many times in my life but he has always been there to help me up, dust me off, and send me on my way. He can do that to each of us, if we will open our hearts and hear him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church meetings each week. Some may say, "Well what a waste of time! Three whole hours you spend being told what to do and how to live? Not to mention you aren't allowed to do anything on your Sundays! Surely you are limited.." I say no way. Through the stresses and commotions of everyday life Sunday is the one day I can leave that behind and focus on my relationship with God. Some may see God as a great and powerful being who curses the world and only has a certain group of people that he loves and forgets everything else. Not. So. God is a loving Father who created our spirits individually, blessed us with talents and traits, and sent us down to Earth to prove ourselves. He is mindful of all his children, each and everyone, he knows their hopes and dreams weaknesses and sorrows. He knows the number of hairs on my head, and what shoe size I wear. He never forgets us, only we forget Him. I feel his love around me constantly and in my heart. He sent me and you to come here to learn and to grow, to see what we would make of these challenges. After all he has given us, I can take one day and dedicate it to him. I believe in loving others, even if I can't see eye to eye with them and serving others.
