Hi I'm Matt

I joined the church after college. Answered questions I had that other churches could not. It is the best thing I've ever done.

About Me

My wife and I have five children. They are the joy of our lives. Sure, life is hard and there never seems to be enough time to do the things you want. But as I look back, I know that God has had his hand in our lives and guides and directs us all for good. Arizona is a great place to be and we enjoy boating and hiking. I work in the field of commercial real estate finance.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young, I went to another church with my family. I never really thought much about it as a young boy and as time went on, none of my family continued to go to church. When I was in college and others discussed religion with me I would always ask about the person who had no chance to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. Most of the earths population would never have a chance to hear these messages. With these thoughts unanswered I never participated in any church. That was until I heard about the Mormons. Not only did the Mormons have a beautiful answer to this question, I found in the bible that this is required or our purpose on this earth will be utterly wasted. This was the first step for me to begin a earnest investigation into the doctrines of the Mormon church. I will testify to the world that this church is true. I've been a member of this church for 28 years now. I have been blessed by my membership both spiritually and in my everyday working life. Even after 28 years of membership, I continue to grow and mature in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have held many positions in the church. Everyone does, but the things I've done have allowed me to grow as a person as I had not thought possible. Too often people think of the things we cannot do, but I believe these things are seldom missed by anyone that I associate with. It is never an issue. More importantly are the things I can do, and how I feel about myself as a person. I know I'm living a life that is acceptable to God. Can I do more? Sure, everyone can do better, but right now, I feel that God has a presence in my life and I can rely on him for answers to my prayers.
