Hi I'm Christine

I am a Mormon. Since becoming a member, the beliefs of the LDS faith have been my anchor in the storms of life.

About Me

I am a daughter of a strong woman who raised her daughters without a spouse because of divorce. My father soon fell away from our lives. I was given the opportunity to be the first in my family who achieved a Bachelors Degree and then later a Masters Degree in Social Work. I have enjoyed the opportunity of interacting and serving in various employment positions that have allowed me to work with people of different backgrounds. I was single for much longer than I have wanted to be. From a young age, I desired to be a wife and a mother. I was finally sealed to my beloved husband at the age of 37. Less than a year later, I again am challenged and require that I be of courage as we work with doctors to attempt to start a family. In the mean time, we enjoy our regular date nights. We particularly love going to movies and out to dinner. We also follow Survivor and Amazing Race. One of my favorite past times is to connect with many of girlfriends and spend time chatting and catching up.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because coworkers of a my mother's job, shared the gospel with her. After being taught by the missionaries, my mom and I were baptized and later my younger sister when she turned 8 years old. But why am I a practicing Mormon? Because I know the principles of the gospel to be true. I would be lost without the knowledge of a loving Heavenly Father who has not forgotten me, that life continues beyond this world, and other amazing gospel truths. The power of prayers has been my anchor in the storms of my life. I feel my Saviors love and know that I am a daughter of great worth. These are just a few of the reasons why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by practicing every day. I start everyday with prayer and end it with prayer. And I find throughout the day that I will turn to prayer to guide me in my work assignments. For we have been taught to pray over our flocks and fields. I turn to the Lord for guidance and he has never failed me. I love teaching the children on Sundays. I have been asked to work with the 5 year olds this year and love their energy and belief in the Lord. It has been an opportunity to learn to teach the principles of the gospel in plain and simple terms. I look forward to teaching my own children these principles.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

It takes faith to even take the kneel at the altar and make commitments. It takes faith in my husband, faith in God that we can work through differences. Because of my faith, I am committed to my marriage. I know that I married the right person and that by continually working on building our marriage we will be successful and happy. Show more Show less
